Tubular water-to-oil cooler

The tubular cooler or shell-and-tube heat exchanger is designed taking into account the most common requirements for its use in hydraulic systems. 

The end covers of the heat exchanger casing are bolted to it, which allows full access for maintenance of the tubes that are located directly inside the casing.  Two liquids with two different initial temperatures flows through the tubular oil cooler. The first liquid flows through the inner pipes located in the cooler casing, and the second - around them inside the casing. Heat is transferred through the walls of the inner tubes from one liquid to another. In this case, heat transfer can occur both from the inside of the internal pipes to the outside, and in the opposite direction. 

The main advantages of this design are:

• uniqueness of application;
• higher cooling capacity compared to air heat exchangers; 
• easy maintenance and cleaning.

In standard design, tubular heat exchangers are made of steel and stamped brass to prevent corrosion.
